Bitsy Cohen

has been knitting, teaching and designing knitwear for almost 40 years. Her knitting patterns and articles on knitting techniques have appeared in Yarn Magazine and on SpinningDaily.com. A passionate lace knitter, her work has been featured in The Knitting Guild of America’s annual fashion show and she has won numerous ribbons for knitting and spinning including several from the prestigeous Maryland Sheep and Wool’s Skein and Garment Competition.

Bitsy currently self publishes her original knitting designs, which are available through Ravelry, her own online shop, BitsyKnits.com and in person at festivals. In addition to teaching and designing, Bitsy is an indie dyer, selling her handpainted yarns and fibers to knitters and spinners online and at Fiber Festivals up and down the East Coast. A Chicagoland native, Bitsy now calls Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley home. A fiber fanatic, Bitsy boasts of owning a yarn collection with more than 6000 skeins.  It is from this 'stash' that she finds the inspiration to create her unique patterns and knitted items.
